Professional Events
Professional development is one of EngOut's core principles. To support the professional development of engineering students at TMU, we organize events and activities which give students the opportunity to learn new skills and connect with companies that are known to have inclusive policies at their workplaces. EngOut's signature event is our annual Industry Night, where we have invited upwards of 22 companies to meet and network with approximately 60 TMU students. It’s an interesting night for potential employers to make connections with students, and for students to ask questions they may have about the world after graduation. In the past we have also hosted other professional events such as the “Grab a Slice and Get Advice: Resume Workshop” in collaboration with the TMU Career and Co-op Centre and the “Queer Talks Panel” in partnership with Thompson Reuters.
